About Me

My name is Carlos, and I have been raising poultry since I was in the 3rd grade. My mother bought me a small chicken coop, and five chickens. She knew it was going to keep me away from drugs, and any other bad related things that happened in town. I knew the basics of chickens, feeding, shelter, and caring, that was all, no more.

I have been running this farm since I have been 10 years of age. I sold a few birds know and then. I always went to the local Summit County Fair to enter our birds every year. In high school I won a lot of poultry awards, especially showman ship.

When I was in the 6th grade, I learned about deferent types of poultry. I went to my local feed store and ordered some geese and ducks. Later on the year I got some turkeys. Each breed is unique in every way.

When I was thirteen and fourteen, I got a job to afford new cages, pens, and sheds. I also learned how to host a web site (www.vegafarm.com) I did not understand much about computers, or hosting a web site. The school only teaches the basics, how to use the computer. That was enough for me, the rest of the information I found on the internet.

This was such a great hobby, especially how I learned how to run a business. I was learning that my birds could keep them self’s finically stable. Feed is very expansive now in days, especially how corn is being turned into energy.
